【FINAL FANTASY Ⅶ】comparison all 9 NES-style bosses with PS1 version - until escaping Midgar
FINAL FANTASYⅦ, one of masterpieces in RPGs which is evergreen and known.
This time, I would like to write the article about FF7, which has been demade (downgraded to NES style) instead of remake. Honestly wanted to write a comparison of the boss's HP, but after research, it was faithfully reproduced, so I let it go.
Instead, will introduce the graphic comparison of the battle of the bosses (until until escaping Midgar).
But then What is "downgrade"?
FINAL FANTASY 7 is a game expressed in "3D", and FINAL FANTASY 7 remaked in NES-style is expressed and reproduced in NES graphics "2D".
Which means lowering the grade is called downgrade.
Conversely, raising the grade is called upgrade.
Now and then you might hear those words not only in the video games, also in app updates, right? like "I updated it but the previous version was better, so I gotta downgrade".
And the demake version of FF7 has been downgrading even the BGM perfectly as NES-style! It was faithfully reproduced in the Japanese version, but different in the English version though.
By the way, unfortunately this NES-style FINAL FANTASY 7 is an unofficial work (created by a certain fan for personal use) and cannot be purchased.
just only available to watch it on Youtube.
The Japanese version is high quality and faithfully reproduced to the original but it has only been created until the escape out of Midgar.
The English version has been created up to the ending but I removed from the verification because it is difficult to figure out the bosses (because the name of the bosses are not specified).
However very easy to identify the last boss, so I will only introduce about it through there.
Therefore, this time I will "compare all 9 bosses (7 bodies, 2 people) of Japanese version NES-style with 1st FINAL FANTASY 7 (PS1) version until the escape outta Midgar", through graphics.
Here we go!
Comparison all 9 bosses until escaping Midgar
❶Guard Scorpion
Source: From FF7 Square Enix
❷Air Buster
also has a good taste!
❸Aps
looks good as well and I'd rather prefer this one!
❹Reno
Reno is one of my personal fav characters, and cool no matter if it's the original, remake, even demake!
❺H0512
seems like creepier than original!
❻Hundred Gunner
Excellent! No compromise!
❼Heli Gunner
No compromise as well!!!
❽Rufus
Rather than saying that Rufus personally likes it, that stylish scene where that helicopter floats and fights on the rooftop of a skyscraper made a strong impact when I first played FF7 when I was in elementary school, and even now I remember vividly and it's entered the top 5 favorite scenes of FF7 in me, so I was excited about what would happen with this demake, but yeah this is cool as well in a good way!
❾Motorball
For some reason, ordinary enemies appears only in this one battle.
There is the scene where Motorball approaches to Cloud, but when it comes to a battle, just another guards come out instead Lol
Last Boss Battle - NES-Style English Version
Bizarro Sephiroth first comes out without Jenova Synthesis.
❶Bizarro Sephiroth
❷Safer Sephiroth
It sort of looks like Kefka from FF6, Kefka that Shogun Leo fought against.
Just the form does though Lol
By the way, there wasn't that one-on-one scene between Sephiroth and Cloud with Omnislash (cry).
It's one of scenes that I really like, so I absolutely want to see it included in the Japanese version, and I strongly hope!
Digression
a story that has nothing to do with the main subject, but one of the bosses "Dr. Hojo" that appears in FF7 (after the escape out of Midga), he's sort of similar to Dr. Minoru Kamiya from one of the enemy characters in the manga "Yu Yu Hakusho" Lol
I think that some of the production creaters of FF7 must have been inspired Lol
Digest
After all, Final Fantasy Ⅶ knocks you out whether it's an original, remake or demake!
